I am a professional with extensive experience in advocacy, communication, and management roles. Currently engaged with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs - US as Senior Program Associate for Pakistan, my day to day role involves a cross sectoral functioning that exposes me to INGOs, local organizations, government and corporate functionaries. Prior to this I have also served briefly as Strategic Communications Advisor at the SDGs Secretariat, in the National ASsembly of Pakistan, where my role primarily incorporated communications, outreach and partnership developmemt.
My work as a 3rd party consultant under UNICEF involved coordinating national communications for the Polio Programme, which exposed me to a range of publications, media messaging, and writing formats, including papers, pamphlets, outdoor media, print, cable, and radio. Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of the sensitivities and procedures involved in public communication. I also have hands on experience in crafting partnerships centered around program goals, drafting and designing MoUs and identifying new partners to increase outreach and synergize on various program goals. In addition to my services for UNICEF, I have also consulted for large corporates, INGOs, and other entities on similar themes. This has allowed me to develop expertise in facilitating focus group discussions and generating feedback on media materials and publications. I also have extensive experience in managing travel and logistics, having traveled for monitoring, reporting, and other engagements. I consistently contribute to newsletters and other internal publications, and my previous experiences with media houses have allowed me to contribute to editorials and other publications. I have also had the opportunity to synergize among various organizations, supporting non-profit programs through corporates, and developing government and private collaboration. This has also been a primary part of my role as Strategic Communications Advisor in the SDGs secretariat at the National Assembly of Pakistan.
Overall, my resume represents my wide exposure to overlapping cross-sectoral roles, and my experiences have solidified my expertise in these areas. In addition to my extensive experience in advocacy, communication, and research roles, I have a strong track record in conducting surveys, holding dialogues, and managing multiple stakeholders. I have worked with a wide range of partners, including those in the private and public sector, and have developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of partnership development and networking. I am regularly involved in developing partners and even drafting their agreements, Letters of Intent, MoUs, and other such documents. My legal education background, in addition to my Masters in Political Science, has further strengthened my understanding of these processes and allowed me to contribute to them in a meaningful way.
Overall, my experience in conducting surveys, holding dialogues, and managing multiple stakeholders has allowed me to develop strong relationships with partners across a range of sectors. My ability to develop and draft agreements, Letters of Intent, MoUs, and other such documents has been crucial to the success of these partnerships, and I am committed to continuing to develop these skills in the future.
